This composition from this talented composer may be his most impressive.  Contemporary in nature, this concert work is primarily in 7/8, brimming with mixed meters, rhythmic variety, and haunting motives. The intricate and involved wind and brass parts take on a spirited dance-like quality when fully engaged with the active percussion, contrasting with the distinct floating sensation that occurs during the melodious andante segment.  Sure to be a favorite.
