Hero Tale is a new heroic concert march. It begins featuring the power of the low brass and continues with heroic melodies of the trumpets and lyricism of the woodwinds. lIari Hylkila wrote the first version Hero Tale in 2007 in order to participate Finnish composition contest "Linnan Juhlat" (Castle Festival). Hero Tale won the competition. In 2015 Ilari Hylkila rewrote Hero Tale for The Conscript Band of the Finnish Defence Forces. He changed totally the beginning and the middle section of the composition.

Saga is new music for symphonic band/concert band inspired by legends of the Middle Ages. It brings you to the time of knights, kings, and ancient celebrations. 

Saga consist of 4 movements:

4. Finale of the Saga

Taiga is a melodic composition inspired by snow forests. It takes the  listener through beautiful landscapes and stormy weather to see the miracles  of wild northern nature.

This flexible version of the Waltz allows directors to adapt to situations with very limited instrumentation. The piece is broken down into five parts that are playable by most members of the band or orchestra. 

The optional piano part helps to rehearse and perform the piece even if you don't have players for some of the parts. Optional parts for percussions are included to provide even more variety.
