Music Through the Piano Library: the Very Young Pianist

A delightful series of books containing lesson material for very young beginners, ages 4 to 7. Students read, write, recognize, play, and create, while developing a firm foundation in music fundamentals. Workbooks contain additional written theory drills to supplement and reinforce concepts presented in the Lesson Books. "Listens & Creates" books provide ear training and composition activities which parallel the learning material presented in the Lesson Books. Book 1 introduces left and right hands, numbers 1 through 5, letters A through G, high and low, up and down, and basic rhythms. It presents short, pre-staff pieces in C and G Major positions and introduces the tonic chord for harmonization of melodies.
