My Sweet Heart is a single-movement piece for the beginner youth orchestra. Woodwinds and brass learn music with flat keys (e.g. Bb Mayor) vs. strings that learn music with sharps (e.g. D Mayor). But how to put this two different universes together in a piece for beginners? My Sweet Heart was composed thinking on this challenge. Strings has the melody and part of the accompaniment as a quintet, while winds and brass mostly will play accompaniments with three to four music notes. Yes! Maybe, the orchestra teacher will have to teach an F# to a trombone or a G# to a trumpet, but the manner that the flow of the music was written, it will be easy to learn to the young musicians.
