I've been playing music since I was 2 years old (since 1966). I started out with pots and pans in the kitchen changing the tones by putting soup cans in them. Weird, but worked. When I wa about 3 or 4 I think, my parents got me a recorder which was fun for a while. In the 4th grade I took trumpet lessons with Jim Kurty and played 1st trumpet in the Brattleboro All-School Elementary Marching Band and concert band (Brattleboro, VT). I continued to play trumpet into high school as 1st, 2nd and 3rd (mostly 3rd) in the BUHS band. I also had the opportunity to play trombone, baritone, tuba, souzaphone, french horn, tubular bells, xylophone, timpany (kettle drums), bass drum and misc. percussion instruments. After high school I didn't play much other than keyboards. I got my first piano around 1982 and started teaching myself. I did take a few months of lessons at the Brattleboro Music Center with Luba Lischynsky. But, I am mostly self-taught.My life's dream was to master the pipe organ. But, unfortunately almost nobody has one anymore, so finding one to play on is near impossible. So, now I am working on learning violin and flute.I am working on composing classical concert band/orchestral works and writing rock style songs, currently. I'll post them as they become available. show less
