In his professional career as a thriving musician, Dr. Kevin Johnson is the minister of music at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Atlanta. He is also one of the most highly demanded and prominent musicians in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and the Catholic Archdiocese nationwide. Dr. Kevin Johnson is an active and working composer, writing Responsorial Psalms for Mass celebration every week. During his tenure as a professional composer, Dr. Kevin Johnson has been commissioned to compose several works, including "A Choice to Change the World" (commissioned by Spelman College), "The Mass of Faith" (commissioned by Father John Adamski), and his latest work that is still in progress The Mass of St. Peter Claver (commissioned by the Knights of Peter Claver). On October 18, 2009, Dr. Kevin Johnson, along with the Spelman College Glee Club and Joe Jennings, will present his Jazz Mass setting, The Mass of Faith, in concert.
