Lowell Prescott began composing at age 7 in 1970, and has a catalog of nearly 700 original works that includes songs for solo voice, works for vocal and instrumental ensembles, and musical theater. He studied choral music at the University of Minnesota while obtaining a degree in Philosophy, and received advanced conducting and composition mentoring from Dr. Larry L. Mr. Prescott has spent many years leading choral programs at churches in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has participated as a composer in the Faith Partners program through the American Composers Forum. His original works have been heard locally at Orchestra Hall, the Basilica of St. Mary, the Cathedral of St. Paul, Central Lutheran Church, and many other sacred and secular venues. show less
