He returned to North Texas in 1989 to study Music Composition under Cindy McTee before being called into full-time ministry. Through the years, however, the passion for band and composing has never wavered, and consequently he has written for band, choir, piano, and contemporary Christian rock, as well as various other styles.
Having now spent a good number of years in technical ministry (and author of "The Professional's Guide to Technical Ministry"), he has recently returned to his passion for composing and has made it a priority in his life and is writing with a drive and determination.
As an ASCAP artist, he has a number of albums on most streaming platforms, including relaxation albums and wind ensemble albums, with other genres planned for the near and distant future. He is a member of the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE), National Band Association, Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), Texas Bandmaster Association (TBA), The Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI), International Trombone Association (ITA), and is an FAA Part 107 Licensed Drone Pilot.
