These modern historic style harpsichords are especially responsive and appropriate for dances and character pieces, which are a large part of the historic harpsichord repertoire, so Mosher is, in a way, updating the great harpsichord repertoire by composing many dances and character pieces. She has always liked this kind of music, but the piano had never seemed as winsome or appropriate for their character. Her harpsichord compositions have been performed by some noted harpsichordists, including Gloria Cheng and Elaine Funaro, and are recorded on the New Mix Music label.

As a musician, Mosher has been active as a performer and teacher as well as newspaper music critic, and is an ASCAP member. From a family of lawyers, Mosher is also an attorney (USC law school).
