The Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745-1799) was once considered the finest musician in the world. Often referred to as "Le Mozart noir" or the black Mozart, he was violin virtuosos, conductor, composer and impresario bringing Haydn's Paris Symphonies to France. In addition he was a champion swimmer, military colonel and war hero, and the finest swordsman in the world. It is after this extraordinary man that our publishing company has been named.
