His journey in music began in Oslo, where he earned degrees in Musicology, Orchestration, and Composition from The University of Oslo and The Norwegian Academy of Music. He further honed his craft at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he completed a Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Writing. Christian's formal music career was launched during his service in His Majesty the King's Guard Band, where he played trumpet and piano and served as a Music Arranger and Composer. He had the honor of performing for the Norwegian Royal family and at official government events and was recognized with the King's Guard Grant for his outstanding contributions. For over 15 years, Christian has dedicated himself to composing, orchestrating, and performing across a range of musical settings. His work includes composing and orchestrating for the opening ceremony of Fredrikstad City's 450th Anniversary and serving as music director and orchestrator for several productions at Burning Coal Theatre, including "Sunday in the Park with George" and "A Little Night Music." He has also orchestrated for Aages Danseband's "Concert in Symphony" at Rockefeller Concert Hall in Oslo and for the musical "To Paint the Earth." In the realm of musical theatre, Christian's work include "Let's Be Frank," with book and lyrics by Zayre Ferrer, which featured a reading with talents such as Alex Gemignani and Doreen Montalvo, as well as "You Can't Sing" and "The Call," both collaborations with Maria Alexandria Beech and Christie Baugher. His musical "Olav den Heldige" (St. Olaf the Lucky One), co-written with Kristofer Groenskag and Patrik Stenseth, was the centerpiece of the St. Olaf Festival in Norway from 2011 to 2016. He also co-founded the theater company Teater4Real, where their inaugural musical "4Real" debuted at Norway's first musical theatre festival, Musikal-i-teten. From March 2018 to June 2024, Christian served as the Director of Culture at the Norwegian Seamen's Church in New York, further enriching his experience in fostering cultural and artistic expression.  show less
