Liz Story

Liz was studying classical piano at The Juilliard School when her career was transformed after meeting jazz pianist Bill Evans. She studied jazz piano with Sanford Gold, whom Evans recommended, and later Dick Grove. Improvisations she developed performing at a Los Angeles restaurant developed into compositions, and she was signed by Will Ackerman of Windham Hill to record her debut album "Solid Colors," released in 1983. Liz has recorded ten albums of solo piano.
