Maura Drinkert


Maura is an undergraduate student at Michigan State University. She is earning a double major in music education and composition, with future plans to earn a master's degree in a specialized area of composition. Maura is a composer, producer, and publisher under ASCAP. She has worked with various ensembles from MSU, as well as the internationally acclaimed So Percussion. Maura's work spans the horizons of instrumental, choral, electronic, and contemporary/musical theater. She presented original ...show more Maura is an undergraduate student at Michigan State University. She is earning a double major in music education and composition, with future plans to earn a master's degree in a specialized area of composition. Maura is a composer, producer, and publisher under ASCAP. She has worked with various ensembles from MSU, as well as the internationally acclaimed So Percussion. Maura's work spans the horizons of instrumental, choral, electronic, and contemporary/musical theater. She presented original music for two consecutive years at the Honors Composition Concert as part of the MMEA annual music conference. Maura is currently writing a musical based on the COVID-19 pandemic, for which she has received funding from the MSU Running Start program and the MSU College of Arts and Letters. Groups of note include the MSU Concert Band, Michigan Ambassadors of Music, the NAfME Collegiate Chapter, and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.  show less
