Michael Paul Mitchell (ASCAP) is an American composer and performer who recently received a PhD in music composition from Louisiana State University. He has studied composition with Dr. Dinos Constantinides and Dr. Daniel Kerr. His music has been performed by the Louisiana Sinfonietta, Borislava Iltcheva, Arisia Gilmore, and the BC Winds.

Michael Paul Mitchell (ASCAP) is an American composer and performer who recently received a PhD in music composition from Louisiana State University. Michael also enjoys studying and performing on the French horn and has performed with the Teton Chamber Orchestra and the Idaho Falls Symphony and participated in the Chamber Music Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with the woodwind quintet BC Winds. He has studied horn with Seth Orgel, Dr. Jon Klein, Kendall Nielsen, and John Owen.

Michael has written for many different ensembles but especially focuses on music for woodwind and brass.

Michael currently teaches general music and band at Bear Lake Middle and High Schools in Montpelier, Idaho.  show less
