Mythology and Music Lesson Plan

This is a lesson plan for either general music or band. It may be used with Themes of 19th Century Composers for Band, (available from J.W. Pepper), for instruction in instrumental music or general music classes . The plan examines the early and contemporary use of leitmotifs in productions that use a unifying mythology. Included are an instruction page, audio examples, vocabulary, a sample adaptable multiple choice assessment, an answer key, and an order of instruction page with national core standards listed.
