Nguoi O Dung Ve

Part of a set of two traditional Vietnamese folk songs that also includes Qua Cau Gio Bay (The Wind on the Bridge), this beautiful a cappella divisi arrangement portrays the story of two lovers that must be parted, but promise to be faithful as the river flows and the water fern grows. The fluid sixteenth-note motive represents the flowing water and the melody that moves between the voices represents the dialog of the story. A lovely choice!
