This is one of Horace Silver's best known pieces, written in honor of the baroness Nica de Koenigswarter, famous patroness of jazz musicians and WW II French resistance fighter. It alternates between Latin and 4/4 swing grooves. The arrangement is simply a fleshed out version of Horace's quintet arrangement and retains his introduction, interludes and ending. Small Band instrumentation: One each ATB Saxes, one Trumpet, one Trombone, Guitar, Piano, Bass and Drums.
