Night and Day

Kris Berg's contemporary take on this Cole Porter standard is set in a funky groove played at around 136 bpm, with the groove going into an occasional boogaloo feel. The lead trumpet range goes to written A above the staff, sample solos are provided for alto and tenor saxophones, and there are optional parts included for augmented instrumentations. Plus, the bass part is pretty funky and don't miss the mellow interlude that builds into the shout chorus. A very hip chart!
