Nocturne for the Left Hand

Quiet and tranquil, Nocturne for the Left Hand is beautiful, yet challenging.  It, of course is to be played entirely with the left hand, although it is capable of being played with both hands as well.  Encourage your students to play it only with the left hand, as it will develop strength and agility in that hand, which is normally the weaker of the two hands.  This is a great technical exercise that will be enjoyable for students because they only have to use one hand!
