Novum Gaudia

This a cappella work is reminiscent of ancient Christmas performances, mixing chant-like sections with organum. Optional hand drum and handbells create a medieval effect, and cued notes in the final section give the option of filling out some of the harmonies. It ends in a resounding fortissimo. Effective as a processional or for performance on stage, this is a change of pace for men's groups for the holidays!
