This is a choral setting of Psalm 90:14-17. It is written primarily for an SATB choir, but as with most of my arrangements, there are places where each of the parts splits into two. That is especially the case where the women sing alone, or where the men sing alone. There are mp3 files available (at no extra charge) for the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts for practice purposes on my website: Christianchoralanthems.com.
Psalm 90 is entitled "A Prayer of Moses, the man of God". Verses 14 - 17 have always been favorites of mine. They start with "O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." They end with the prayer "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands." In the presence of trying times in the past or in our present lives, may we sing for joy and be glad all our days.
