This piece is especially appropriate for use during the Preparation of the Gifts. It begins with voices in unison, builds in the second verse with SATB a cappella, then returns to unison in verse 3 with an added descant. These textures provide enough variety to keep listeners engaged in the music while maintaining its accessibility for assembly participation.
