Orange Moon

The main melody is waltz-like, with a strong and straight feeling best described as risoluto.  The accompanying figures mimic a heartbeat as this work was inspired by a couple dancing to a slow tango under the moon light.  Gorgeous swells and tense clustered tones really make the most of the simple tied motifs.  An emotive concert work for the advancing string orchestra!
