The haunting, evocative quality of the singing melodies interspersed with lively, sometimes wild dances inspired him to arrange these gems for string trio. The pieces can be played separately or as an entire suite, whether for weddings, incidental music for special events, or the concert stage. With familiar tropes and stylized Gypsy cadences as well as unexpected turns of phrase, poignant harmonies of the region, and manic accelerating pyro- technics, this music is sure to delight both players and listeners.
