Pendaneni

This African-inspired original composition is happy and joyful, with easy to learn, repetitive rhythms and many fun handbell techniques like martellato, martellato lifts, malleting, mallet rolls, thumb damps, and shaking. The optional added percussion makes this piece even more enjoyable – the parts can be played on either African or Latin American instruments. The title, Pendaneni, is a Swahili word meaning "love one another," making the piece useful in both church and school settings.
