Pizzicati

Delibes' music for the ballet "Sylvia" was often considered more interesting than the ballet itself. The scherzettino known as Pizzicati is an excellent example of how Delibes dictated action, as you can almost hear a story unfold as the music plays. This is a light-hearted, fun pizzicato feature for the advancing string orchestra. Perfect for a pops concert and features a solo violin and cello!
