Pizzigato

Pizzigato was composed for my Middle School Orchestra with the intention of providing a captivating and entertaining piece for our Fall Concert. Inspired by the whimsical combination of pizzicato (plucked) strings and the Spanish word for cat (gato), Pizzigato offers a slightly spooky and playful atmosphere. The composition also provides an opportunity to teach or reinforce interesting chromatic notes to the students (specifically A# and D#) to expand their musical skills.
