Practical and Pretty:#19 I Will Walk With Jesus

Many flutists have someone in their family who can play the primary songs or hymns. 'I Will Walk With Jesus' is the lovely primary song by Stephen P Schank. The accompaniment for it can be found in the Feb. 2020 Children's Friend magazine p. 27 from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This does not imply an endorsement. I absolutely love this arrangement. I hear and feel the words in my mind and heart when I play it. It covers all three verses, including playing during the introduction, interlude and ending. Range is low C to High F. First verse flute plays melody until the chorus, then it goes into a gentle counter-melody. Second verse is mostly melody. Third verse starts with counter melody, goes to melody at the chorus and then weaves in and out of it for the rest of the song.
