Here's a classic jazz standard for your young jazz ensemble. Jazz legend Horace Silver wrote this very accessible and happy sounding jazz tune, and Carl Strommen's chart for young jazz ensemble makes it even more accessible. Playable with reduced instrumentation and optional parts, this chart is very flexible. Add written solos for trumpet and tenor sax, solo backgrounds, plenty of ensemble and modest brass ranges, and this one is a keeper. Great tune, great chart--you'll love it!
