"Prince Of Peace"" is a look at the crucifixion of Jesus, which attempts to bring the listener closer to Calvary. The text is intermingled with biblical quotes, some of which are attributed to Jesus himself. The style is modern, yet utilizes a small amount of Latin for authenticity. The work supports a substantial solo for Baritone voice, which would also work well in the Alto range. Optional flute can replace or join the piano at the opening thematic statement.
