Psalm 121, for mixed choir (SATB) and organ, was written to honor the composer's parents, Richard and Cindy Durow, in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. The work was premiered on November 19, 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota by the Two Rivers Chorale (Timothy Sawyer, conductor) and From Age to Age (Peter J. Durow, conductor) with Christopher Ganza playing the organ at Saint Olaf Catholic Church. The composition was written as a celebratory concert opener for combined choirs on a program that featured the Durufle Requiem. Written for a larger choir of mature voices and organ, this four-minute Psalm setting is appropriate for either the concert hall or a worship service.
