Ravel: Pavane for a Dead Princess

Absolutely beautiful!  You owe it to yourself to take a look at this exceptional transcription...this is perhaps Ravel's most famous melody, recognizable by virtually everyone.  Anne McGinty has done such a superb job on holding down the technical demands while emphasizing the color, expressiveness and overall musicality of the work that we have to give this our highest recommendations at several levels...Pavane is within the grasp of younger groups, yet will provide incredibly rich rewards to even the most advanced groups.  All students should be exposed to the music of Ravel, and we can't think of a better choice than this!
