Red Hot is a high energy samba in A minor that features the ensemble and allows for multiple solos. The sax section is featured in a soli section, then the entire band gets to shine in a baritone sax lead breakdown finally culminating in an open rhythm section feature. There are two solo sections (sample solos included) separated by the sax soli. After the breakdown there is an open percussion/drum solo featuring the rhythm section. Optional parts are included for piccolo/flute and vibes/pitched percussion. The rhythm section is provided with both a montuno groove and chord symbols to allow less experienced bands to perform in the style and advanced performers to add their own interpretations.
