Red Line Shuffle is a medium swing/shuffle chart perfect for developing bands as played around 140 bpm. The sassy melody is first presented by the saxes, then the trumpets. With playable rhythms and ranges based in the B-flat blues, this is a great tune to open or close any concert. The solo section has space for any instrument to play an improvised solo, or they can use the written solo or B-flat blues scale provided. After the solo section there's nice dynamic contrasts as the band swings softer and softer, leading to a big finish. Highly recommended!
