Redwood Fanfare

This bold, original fanfare is classified as program music, suggesting the majestic redwood trees. The piece enables performers to experience contrasting sections, terraced dynamics, ternary form, and bold fanfare statements. Written in concert Eb and G, a brief section suggests E although enharmonics replace uncommon fingerings with familiar ones. It is appropriate as a concert piece, a concert opener, or a fanfare whenever one is needed. It is written for Brass Quartet (two trumpets and two trombones or euphoniums) and is also available separately for Brass Quintet and Woodwind Quintet.
