This piece, Rejuvenation, follows the path of my musical journey, from before music school to the present
day. The main melody is frolicking and free, making little turns and other little nuances along the way as
it unfolds. As the piece progresses, the melody takes on many forms from light and sweet to dramatic and
heavy, representing my love for music being tested by the confines of critique, with a little sixteenth-note
motif trying to intersect its way into the melodyNo matter though, the main melody triumphs at the
end, and ultimately calms into something peaceful and introspective. Nothing can defeat passion in the
end, as it makes us who we are as individuals, and helps to build a community around us.
