Referencing the psalmist's phrase "He restores my soul," this original piece offers the listener a sense of calm in spite of life's turbulent times. The opening section of the piece is contemplative and exposed. An uplifting theme is then introduced and evolves into a quiet and brooding middle section. To remind us of the title, there is a modulation leading into a powerful restatement of the initial theme. This piece offers an enormous opportunity to work on expression and dynamic variance and is perfect for church, concert, or festival venues.
