Rhosymedre (meaning "lovely" in Welsh) is the name of a hymn tune written in the 19th century, named after the village of Rhosymedre in Wrexham, Wales. The tune was used by Vaughan Williams as the basis of the second movement of his organ composition Three Preludes on Welsh Hymn Tunes. A faithful transcription of that organ piece, this arrangement may be played by handbells and handchimes alone, but optional flute and cello parts enhance this beautiful setting.
