This volume is an accurate rendition based on Liszt's autograph with help from other sources. A unique feature is that Liszt's changes in time signature are clearly indicated in the score, with other changes made in one measure to conform correctly to the time signature. These alone preclude this volume from being considered as an Urtext edition. There are notes in the back that explain the engraving decisions made. Another unique feature is the annotation apparatus that explains the many and diverse harmonic devices used by Liszt. These are given by measure. This makes the volume suitable as an auxiliary, or even primary text for a course in advanced harmony.
