Rising Dawn

I began writing this many years ago before any schooling to know what I was doing. During a time of injury, I began to revisit this work and my good friend, Cory Franklin, liked it so much he wanted to turn it into a commission for the Smithfield Middle School Band in Smithfield, VA, where he currently serves as an outstanding Band Director growing his program with compassion and care. He is truly a passionate teacher! Rising Dawn celebrates hope, but recognizes tragedy. Out of that tragedy, hope rises. We hope it is as meaningful to you as it has been to us!
