Written in memory of a good friend and colleague, the opening poignant melody is introduced quietly, growing and building to a bold climax,  followed in contrast by a cheerful and uplifting musical section bubbling with vitality. The final section is majestic and broad, making a decidedly strong finish to this enjoyable work.
