The Eagle Buzzard Suite was written for Tuba, Piano, and Drums in a jazz/gospel/classical style. A Stroll Down Jensen Drive, like the name, offers challenging time changes throughout the piece. Great for tuba recitals or tuba conferences. The entire suite is a great showstopper! For the medium advanced to the advanced level. 

The Eagle Buzzard is a regal fellow with a stately determined stride.  His usual attire includes top hat (which helps to hide his sole strand of hair), speckled bow tie, large banana-like nose, black plumage, and Mondego cane to help with his long stately stride, bare ankles, and large tongue gaped boots which give a distinct rhythmic clumping to his gait.  He is a very kind fellow and is a stranger to no one.  His curiosity is astounding, which explains his various and sometimes unconventional adventures.      
     
I.   (The Eagle Buzzard takes) A Stroll Down Jensen Drive
     
     Jensen Drive is the main strip through the red-light district.  There is no telling just what one might behold on Jensen Drive.  The casinos, various night clubs, ladies of the evening, and the list continues.  All these sights prove to be fascinating to the Eagle Buzzard.  As he takes his stroll, the sights and sounds produce a most interesting melody.

No longer desiring to live apart from her lover, the Maiden calls out to her deceased loved ones.  It is her lover who offers to take her to the other side.  She accepts his invitation, and they are reunited once again.

I - Passing By
The Maiden observes her soon to be lover passing by.  He returns her glance and is also captivated by her beauty.  Is this perhaps love at first sight?

The Eagle Buzzard Suite trio for Tuba, Piano, and Drums. Preach! Dance! Shout! This is not a piece for the faint of heart. Deriving from the Pentecostal Holiness religious services that were experienced by the composer. The finale of the suite.  

     Preach! Dance! Shout! is a great showstopper!

V. (The Eagle Buzzard visits, The Third New Life Pentecostal Reformation Church for All Nations, Inc.) Preach! Dance! Shout!    
     
     Later that evening, The Eagle Buzzard arrives at the small storefront church in the center of Jensen Drive.  He notices the hand painted words, written in letters of various sizes to accommodate the lengthy title.  He is welcomed by Sister Gladys.  As the preacher reaches the climax to his soul stirring sermon, the parishioners yell the interjections, “Gwone Now, Say It!”  Suddenly, The Eagle Buzzard rears back, nose high in air, lifts his boots and takes off through the aisles in an exuberant spirit-filled shout and dance! He is quickly joined by Sister Gladys and the other church goers.

     Sister Gladys is a sweet saintly lady who is delighted by the Eagle Buzzard’s gracious demeanor.  She offers the Eagle Buzzard a cup of tea and dough cakes as they sit and chat.  She also invites him to her church service to be held later that evening.  He gladly accepts her invitation.

III. (The Eagle Buzzard extends a hearty welcome to) Mr. Limp-MooLimp

     No one could ever miss the presence of Mr. Limp-MooLimp.  He can always be seen and heard even from a distance.  He is a short corpulent fellow, often draped in a bright red cardigan with neon green trousers pulled up high over his large protruding belly.  With one leg two inches shorter than the other, his distinctive limp can be seen from a distance.  With each step, he lets out an incessant grunt that resembles the mooing of a cow (thus the name Limp-MooLimp).  Mr. Limp-MooLimp loves to drink wine and tell tall “tales,” and if you offer him a quarter, he will gladly accept.
