Rock In My Sock is specially designed as a first or early experience in Jazz and Improvisation. As part of the Tiered Jazz Series, it provides three difficulty levels (Tiers) of fun, melodic parts for all the instruments in your young band. It also includes three tiers for Piano/Guitar, Bass, and Drums ranging from very simple standard notation to "slash notation parts typical of the genre. (It is performable with just Piano Tier 1 (Easy) and either 1 set drummer or 2-6 percussionists on individual instruments. Also included are Teacher and Student guides to introduce a simple improv and MP3s with some sttylistic echoes of 3 and then 5 pitches to get them feeling it and building confidence, as well as a background track for playing with finding their own ideas.
