This piece for unaccompanied marimba was inspired by some on-the-spot improvisation done by the composer. The piece itself has solo space to be developed at the performer's discretion, and it contains a passage requiring the use of three mallets in the left hand. It is a challenging yet audience-friendly work. Sure to please!
