Salmagundi

In this work, most of the parts are multiple percussion, giving the performers the experience of playing more than one instrument. Salmagundi provides an achievable challenge for all intermediate to advanced students. The instruments required are all standard equipment in the High School or Junior High School percussion section. The mallet part is very basic and is playable by a less experienced student. This short piece is excellent for introducing young percussionists to the percussion ensemble medium. Students and audiences will enjoy this Latin potpourri.
