Sanctus

Upbeat and dramatic, "Sanctus" features optional timpani joining the piano to add to the rhythmic drive of this outstanding piece. The traditional text leads to an aleatoric treatment of "Praise God" in several languages, accompanied by the baritones singing in unison the OLD HUNDREDTH melody. A recapitulation of the rhythmic "Sanctus" concludes the piece.
