About the Work  (approx. duration 4:30 mins.) 
 The  earth  is  submerged  in  darkness.  A  voice  of  light  that  comes  from  the  beginning  of  time  resounds  at  the  edge  of the  portal  where  the  angels  live.  It  is  the  resounding  of  the  march  of  the  mountains  awakening  every  living  being  on the  face  of  the  earth  and  calling  the  angels.  It  is  the  sound  that  calls  the  beginning  of  a  new  era.  The  gray  cloak  that once covered the sky is transformed into radiant light. All forces manage to unite to grant a new opportunity. 

 Now  is  the  time  to  live  with  determination,  wisdom  and  humility.  Thanking  our  ancestors  and  the  environment  for giving us a second chance. Celebrating with the commitment to use this new era to improve each other.

Format

In the Mass for Eternal Unity, the Kyrie begins the celebration with fervent pleas: "Lord, have mercy on us," "Christ, have mercy on us." This rite highlights diversity through music, allowing each singer to express their unique soul.

In section A, a central theme flows among the voices, weaving a harmonic dialogue that allows each one to highlight their individual expression within a collective mosaic. Section B delves into introspection, challenging the voices to unite on a common theme, demanding a level of empathy and agreement that culminates in complete expressive freedom. Here, diversity is celebrated as the source of a powerful sonic unity, demonstrating how contrast and concord can coexist and enrich each other.

This work belongs to the Mass for Eternal Unity, an ongoing consortium project where each year a new movement is composed. About the Work (approx. duration 2:50 mins.)

Land of Angels represents the uncertainty of the time in which it was written.
 Solo passages, dynamics dominated by PP and P and many moments of silence. Its sound is intended to immerse us in great introspection at the same time that  we enter a paradise, a world reigned by angels.

This work was born from an international initiative that brought together two composers. The challenge posed was for a composer to write the text for another to compose a work and vice versa. In this way, two twin works are obtained and it is possible to calm the isolation of compositional activity to create a brotherhood.

About the version for female choir

This version SSAA is dedicated to my friend Angelina Nicolaidou and her choir Cantus Novus Femina. Angelina was a great friend and promoter of my music and the career of many musicians. She lit the way and created connections by driving festivals and being a part of many of them. She was a person with whom I could talk openly and had a way of thinking that was charged with love and energy.
