Dominique Dumont was born in 1956. He is an associate professor in musical education and choral singing. He teaches at Paul Valery secondary school and Guillaume Apollinaire highschool in Thiais. He learnt how to play the organ. He studied with Michel Chapuis and Odile Bailleux. He was graduated from the Schola Cantorum supervised by Jean Boyer. Dominique Dumont's musical tastes are eclectic. His master's degree in musicology was dedicated to the jazz composer Andre Hodeir. Supervised by Remi Stricker, he wrote his thesis about Franz Liszt's oratorio "Christus" for esthetics at the conservatory. His favorite activity is choral conducting.
