The is a freely adapted arrangement of the popular English folk song Scarborough Fair which was made famous by Simon and Garfunkel in he 1960s. The piano accompaniment is fairly straight-forward and the flute part is printed in large easy-to-read notation. The solo part uses the lower register of the flute and would be ideal for elementary students. The lowest note is D below the treble staff and the highest note is the G just above the staff. The duration is 02:50 and this lovely folk melody in the Dorian mode would make a really useful addition to the repertoire.
