Scenes from the American West

This suite is a musical portrait of three cherished National Park areas. The first movement is a short fantasia based on the folk song Rocky Mountain, the second movement portrays wonder at the sheer size and scope of the redwood forest, and the last movement is a fast, energetic portrayal of ancient pictographs found at Big Bend National Park.
